The only film in the series not to be a sequel.
Unlike the previous films in the franchise which have been in production for only 2 years (except the first Open Season (2006) which was in production for three and a half years) this one was more like 5 years having gone through production issues.
The Wilhelm scream can be heard in the opening credits.
On the side of the poutine shack you can briefly see headshots of Jim Carrey, Lorne Greene and William Shatner.
Unlike other the Other Films, this film was not made by Sony Entertainment, and was recorded in Canada with an Entirely Different Voice Cast.
